LHiNC Environment Committee to Offer EAB Workshops

Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) infestation was recently found in Lakewood Cemetery, which means that some of the more than 1,000 ash trees in Linden Hills might be infected now. High value trees can be saved, but many trees will die.

Come to one of two free workshops Tuesday, August 27 at 7:00pm at the Linden Hills Park Recreation Center, or Saturday, September 21 at 9:30 am at the Pershing Park Recreation Center to learn about options for dealing with this destructive pest. Most households in Linden Hills with an ash tree on their property also will receive a letter in early August announcing the workshops.

Celebrate our Neighborhood Treasures

LHiNC is looking for nominations of residents or businesses who add to the pleasure of living in Linden Hills through their volunteer efforts and commitment to our community. This year’s awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting and Fall Fest in October.

Nominate a Linden Hills Treasure by calling 612.926.2906 or completing the form here.
